Shibir's
candidate SM Farhad won the GS post with 10,794 votes. His nearest rival is
Chhatra Dal's Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim. He got 5,283 votes.
Meghmallar
Basu, the candidate of the Joint Panel of Seven Leftist Student Organizations'
Prevention Council, came third with 4,949 votes. Independent candidate Arafat
Chowdhury came fourth with 4,044 votes. Anti-Discrimination Students'
Parliament candidate Abu Baker Majumder came fifth with 2,131 votes.
Associate General Secretary (AGS):
Shibir's candidate Muha. Mohiuddin Khan won the AGS post by getting 11,772 votes. His nearest rival Tanvir Al Hadi Mayed of Chhatra Dal got 5,064 votes.
Independent candidate (leader of Democratic Students' Union) Tahmeed Al Muddassir Chowdhury is in third position with 3,008 votes. Jabir Ahmed Jubel of the Resistance Council came in fourth with 1,511 votes. And independent candidate Mohiuddin Rony came in fifth with 1,137 votes.
The final results of the DUCSU and Hall Union elections are being announced by the Election Commission. This Wednesday morning at the Senate Building of the University of Dhaka.
Other Positions :
Shibir's panel won 9 of the 12
editorial posts in DUCSU. Independent candidates were elected to the remaining
three. They are Sanjida Ahmed Tanbi for the post of Research and Publications
Editor, Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad for the post of Literature and Cultural
Editor, and Zubair Bin Nesari for the post of Social Services Editor.
Liberation War and Democratic Movement Secretary: Shibir's panel candidate Fatema Tasnim Juma won the post of
Liberation War and Democratic Movement Secretary of DUCSU by getting 10,631
votes. Her nearest rival, Chhatra Dal's Ariful Islam, got 2,470 votes.
Independent candidate Numan Ahmad Chowdhury came third with 1,776 votes.
Science and Technology Secretary: Iqbal Haider of Shibir's panel won the post of Science and
Technology Secretary with 7,833 votes. Ahad bin Islam Shoaib of the
Anti-Discrimination Students' Parliament came in second with 4,273 votes.
Mominul Islam of the Independent Students' Unity came in third with 3,200
votes.
Common Room, Reading Room and Cafeteria Secretary: Shibir panel candidate Umme Chalma won the Common Room,
Reading Room and Cafeteria Secretary post with 9,920 votes. Surmi Chakma of
Independent Student Unity Panel came second with 4,482 votes. Chhatra Dal
candidate Chemon Faria Islam Meghla came third with 2,702 votes.
International Secretary: Jasimuddin Khan of Shibir's panel won the post of
International Secretary with 9,706 votes. Mohammad Shakib of the
Anti-Discrimination Students' Union came in second with 3,922 votes. And Mehedi
Hasan of Chhatra Dal came in third with 3,231 votes.
Literary and Cultural Secretary: Independent candidate Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad won the
post of Literary and Cultural Secretary with 7,782 votes. Shibir candidate
Nurul Islam came second with 2,747 votes. Resistance Council's Faria Matin
(Ila) came third with 2,147 votes.
Research and Publication Secretary: Independent candidate Sanjida Ahmed Tonbi won the post of
Research and Publication Secretary. She received 11,778 votes. Several panels,
including Chhatra Dal, did not field a candidate for the post, supporting her.
The main competition with her was Shibir's candidate. Shibir's candidate Md.
Sajjad Hossain Khan came second with 7,189 votes.
Sports Secretary:
Shibir's candidate Arman Hossain won the post of Sports Secretary with 7,255
votes. Anti-Discrimination Students' Parliament candidate Md. Al-Amin Sarkar
came second with 3,831 votes. Chhatra Dal's Chimchimya Chakma came third with
3,788 votes. And independent candidate Zahin Ferdous Jami came fourth with
3,438 votes.
Student Transport Secretary: Shibir candidate Asif Abdullah won the post of Student
Transport Secretary with 9,061 votes. Rafiz Khan of the Independent Student
Unity Panel came second with 4,505 votes. And Md. Saif Ullah of Chhatra Dal
came third with 3,312 votes.
Social Services Secretary: Independent candidate Zubair Bin Nesari (AB Zubair) won the
post of Social Services Secretary with 7,608 votes. Chhatra Dal candidate Syed
Imam Hasan Anik came second with 3,903 votes. Shibir candidate Shariful Islam
came third with 2,556 votes. And Mohir Alam of the Anti-Discrimination
Students' Parliament came fourth with 2,099 votes.
Career Development Secretary: Shibir candidate Mazharul Islam won the post of Career
Development Secretary with 9,344 votes. Rupaiya Shrestha Tanchangya of
Independent Students' Union came second with 4,123 votes. And Chhatra Dal's
Mohammad Arkanul Islam came third with 3,615 votes.
Health and Environment Secretary: Shibir candidate MM Al Minhaj won the post of Health and
Environment Secretary with 7,038 votes. Shahriar Mohammad Yamin, the 'rebel'
candidate of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Parliament, came second with
2,965 votes. And Sabbir Ahmed, the candidate of the Anti-Discrimination
Students' Parliament, came third with 2,949 votes.
Human Rights and Law Secretary: Shibir's candidate for the post of Human Rights and Law
Secretary, Md. Zakaria, won by getting 11,747 votes. Anika Tahsina of the
Anti-Discrimination Students' Parliament came second with 3,427 votes. Nusrat
Jahan Nisu of the Independent Students' Unity came third with 3,365 votes.

Candidates from Shibir's United
Student Alliance won 11 of the 13 DUCSU member positions. They are Sabikun
Nahar Tamanna (10,084 votes), Sarv Mitra Chakma (8,988 votes), Imran Hossain
(6,256 votes), Mosh. Afsana Akhter (5,747 votes), Tazinur Rahman (5,690 votes),
Raihan Uddin (5,082 votes), Md. Miftahul Hossain Al-Maruf (5,150 votes), Anas
Ibne Munir (5,150 votes), Md. Belal Hossain Apu (4,865 votes), Md. Raisul Islam
(4,535 votes) and Md. Shahinur Rahman (4,390 votes).
In addition, Hema Chakma was elected to the membership of the Left-wing Resistance Council by getting 4,908 votes. Independent candidate Umma Uswatun Rafia won the membership by receiving 4,209 votes.
The Ntional Citizens’ Party did not take part in the DUCSU election because it does not have party registrati

The Jamaat-e-Islami student organization Islami Chhatra Shibir won 23 of the 28 positions in the Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU) elections.
The Shibir panel's united student alliance candidates competed mainly with the BNP's nationalist Chhatra Dal, the student organization, in the top three DUCSU positions. However, the Chhatra Dal candidates could not mount a significant challenge in the other DUCSU positions.
This is what has been seen in the analysis of the published results of the DUCSU elections. The voting for the DUCSU and Hall parliamentary elections took place from 8 am to 4 pm on Tuesday (09/09/2025). The results were announced late last night after the voting. And the final results were announced Wednesday morning( 10/09/2025).
The National Citizens’ Party did not take part in the DUCSU election because they does not have party registration yet.
Vice President (VP):
In the results, the Shibir panel, United Students Alliance, won all three top positions of DUCSU Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS) and Assistant General Secretary (AGS).
Shibir candidate Md. Abu Sadiq Kayem won the VP position with 14,042 votes. His closest rival is Abidul Islam Khan of Chhatra Dal. He got 5,708 votes. Independent candidate Shamim Hossain came third with 3,883 votes. Independent Student Unity Panel's Umama Fatima came fourth with 3,389 votes. And Anti-Discrimination Student Parliament candidate Abdul Quader came fifth with 1,103 votes.
